Who we are
Deposit Reclaim UK is a trading name of Coresight Creative Limited, company number 16828110, registered at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration ZC226239. We are the controller of the details you give us on this site.
What we collect
Your name, phone number, email address and postcode, when your tenancy started, roughly how much the deposit was, and your answers to the check questions. If you arrived from an advert or a link, we also keep which one, so we know which of our adverts work.
Why we collect it
To check whether your tenancy deposit was protected in a government-backed scheme and whether you were given the prescribed information, to contact you about what we find, and, if there is something worth taking further and you agree, to introduce your enquiry to a panel solicitor who handles tenancy deposit claims.
Legal basis
Your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the check. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will stop.
Who receives it
A panel solicitor who handles tenancy deposit claims, only with your consent, and the service providers who run this website, our database and our email for us, under contract and only on our instructions. We never sell your details.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go further are deleted after 12 months. Where an enquiry is passed to a solicitor, we keep a record of that for six years, because that is how long a claim or a complaint about it can run.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent, by emailing us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
